For citizens of the following countries, this is a three-month visa suitable for tourism, professional meetings, and short courses:

The visa is valid for up to 12 months, however we are only allowed to stay for three months every admittance. It may be applied for from outside or inside Australia, and authorised agencies in our home country may also submit the visa application on our behalf.

* Electronic Travel Authorization In Australia, visa holders are not entitled to apply for another visa of this kind. If some visa holders want to remain in Australia longer, they must apply for a new form of visa, such as a Visitor Visa Subclass 600.

How to Apply
This visa may not be unique in shape. Applications may be received from anyplace in the globe, including Australia. Applicants from permitted countries may submit their passport information in person, via phone/fax, or by email to Australian Immigration offices across the globe.

Passport holders from Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong (SAR of China), Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States may apply online at https://www.eta.immi.gov.au/ETAS3/etas3.
Electronic Travel Authority applications may only be submitted at an Australian airport or seaport by an immigration clearance officer upon arrival.
The Department of Home Affairs does not charge a cost for this visa, although there is a $20 application fee for the online application procedure.
Documentation is required.
A valid passport from one of the relevant nations listed above.
