* Meeting the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria is an integral aspect of meeting Student Visa requirements. The claimant must persuade the immigration officer that he or she want to stay in Australia temporarily.
The GTE criteria take into account the visa applicant's homeworld circumstances, his/her expected circumstances in Australia, the relevance of the educational course to the applicant's future, the applicant's immigration history, and other relevant criteria.
A student visa may not be awarded if the GTE criteria are not met.
* To learn more about educational groups, speak with a certified education agent. On their websites, educational institutions identify authorised education agents. On visa and migration issues, only an expert should be contacted. The Australian government website has a listing of licenced migration agents: https://www.mara.gov.au/search-the-register-of-migration-agents/.
