DURING MY LAST US VISA INTERVIEW (WHEREIN MY VISA APPLICATION WAS REJECTED) I HAD MENTIONED A FEW THINGS AMONGST MY ANSWERS WHICH I LATER REGRETTED. DURING MY NEXT VISA INTERVIEW, I HAVE PLANS TO HIDE IT OR SKIP IT. CAN I HIDE IT? IS THIS A GOOD WAY TO TACKLE THE SITUATION AND ALSO TO INCREASE THE CHANCE OF A SUCCESSFUL VISA INTERVIEW?

During my previous visa interview (during which my visa application was denied), I said a couple things that I afterwards regretted. I intend to conceal or skip it at my next visit interview. Can I conceal it? Is this a good method to deal with the problem and enhance the likelihood of a successful visa interview?

If you stated anything at your previous visa interview that you afterwards regretted, try not to bring it up again on your own. However, make it clear that you should be fully prepared to address and explain such themes and arguments if the visa officer questions you. The officer will maintain a quick note of what you say or what they think about your case while they interview you for a visa. It is saved in the system next to your name.

Even if your face and interview are with a new officer, at a different time, and in a different consulate, the prior notes and records placed against your name may still be seen by the officer who is presently speaking with you.

As a result, there is a good likelihood that the "difficult issue" will come up again for discussion. All you can do in such a case is attempt to ‘neutralise or dilute' the previous replies as much as possible by responding respectfully and (yet) intelligently.
