HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR THE US VISA INTERVIEW?

Image
Dr D K Sharma , in his book, A Comprehensive Guide To The US Student Visa , suggests that, Dress appropriately and professionally. However, there is no need to overdress in a three-piece suite, a brand new shirt and pants, or any expensive designer outfits. It would appear strange if the temperature outside was soaring and you were sweating in your overly formal attire. The goal is to seem respectable while being natural and easygoing. A tie on a formal shirt will give you a professional appearance. Semi-formal dress is also acceptable. Do not attempt to dress casually in Bermudas, shorts, or T-shirts. Wear nothing that says "I love America," has an American flag on it, is obscene, or promotes some form of an extremist philosophy, etc. Believe me, the visa officer will not be enamoured with someone dressed as a clown. The cop carrying the "I love America" placard on a T-shirt is not impressed. It only demonstrates how eager the individual is to get an American visa....

KNOW HOW TO REVIEW YOUR CANADA VISA APPLICATION BEFORE SENDING

Image
Nick Noorani & Catherine A. Sas, QC , in their book, Immigrate To Canada , suggests that, Make certain that all of the information in your application is accurate and up to date. If you supply erroneous information in your application, you may be deemed to have committed misrepresentation, and your application will not only be denied, but you will also be barred from submitting any sort of application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for two years. (It should be noted that new laws will expand this to five years.) People often make the mistake of eliminating or omitting information that they believe is irrelevant to the sort of application they are developing. Misrepresentation is one example of this. It is preferable to divulge any conditions about which you are worried and let the officer decide the importance of the information. Driving violations (possible crime), inadequate schooling, and nonmarital relationships are all examples of unnecessary knowledge. Failu...

DOES MILITARY SERVICE RESULT IN CITIZENSHIP?

Image
By Peter J. Spiro, 2020; The Oxford Handbook of Citizenship, 2018; Diego Acosta, 2018; Nils A. Butenschon et al.,2000; Samuel P. Huntington’s 2005; Patrick Weil, 1789 Noncitizens who join the military services, like those whose naturalisation would benefit the state the most, are often offered a fast track to citizenship. Instead of the usual five-year norm, noncitizens may naturalise after a single year of active service, none of which must be in the United States. Naturalization is automatically granted upon enlisting during certain periods of warfare. Both world wars, as well as the Korean and Vietnam crises, are considered eras of hostilities for citizenship reasons. In a July 2002 executive order, President George W. Bush defined the time period beginning with the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as the cause of the provision. The 2002 order is still in effect. Noncitizens are estimated to make up 3 to 4% of US armed services enlisted personnel. Over 125,000 military members ...

AUSTRALIA STUDENT VISA, SUBCLASS 500 PROFESSIONAL TIPS

Image
By Fozail N. Sukhera, 2019;  https://immi.homeaffairs.gov. au/ * Meeting the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria is an integral aspect of meeting Student Visa requirements. The claimant must persuade the immigration officer that he or she want to stay in Australia temporarily. The GTE criteria take into account the visa applicant's homeworld circumstances, his/her expected circumstances in Australia, the relevance of the educational course to the applicant's future, the applicant's immigration history, and other relevant criteria. A student visa may not be awarded if the GTE criteria are not met. * To learn more about educational groups, speak with a certified education agent. On their websites, educational institutions identify authorised education agents. On visa and migration issues, only an expert should be contacted. The Australian government website has a listing of licenced migration agents: https://www.mara.gov.au/search-the-register-of-migration-agents/. WHERE...

KNOW WHAT NOT TO CARRY FOR THE US VISA INTERVIEW?

Image
By Dr. D K Sharma, 2017 & 2018; From the web You are not authorised to carry or use a mobile phone within the US embassy. Leave your phone at home or with the security officers at the entry of the US embassy. It is possible that you will not need to bring a hardcopy of your visa submission form with you. The officer may go in to his computer and look up your application online. Xerox with a valid US visa for a family member or spouse. All of your prior US visas should be Xeroxed. Make a copy of the assessment form for your institution. Airline tickets: DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR AIR FARE UNTIL YOUR INTERVIEW IS COMPLETED. You are not need to buy a plane ticket in order to apply for a visa in the United States. It will not be able to support much weight. Buying a ticket might be a financial risk since most low-cost flights are non-refundable until purchased. Refundable rates are often double, if not treble, the cost of economy plane tickets. And, as I have said, why purchase an aeroplane...

KNOW HOW THE UK JUDICIARY SYSTEM WORKS

Image
By Mathew Collins & Nicky Barclay, 2006; From the web Because parliament creates the rules, it is up to judges (referred to as "the judiciary") to interpret them. The government should, and always does, oppose judicial interpretations, but it cannot meddle. Both judges should agree that the administration broke the law. If this happens, the government must either revise its laws or ask parliament to revise the law. The courts have authority over the Human Rights Act. If a public organisation or a Parliamentary Statute is found to be in breach of the Act, the courts may order the organisation to amend its operations or impose fines, and Parliament may be called upon to modify the laws. A prosecutor, or in the event of a less serious violation, a magistrate, is in charge of informing jurors and legal counsel (barristers and solicitors) about the proper criminal procedure and the ensuing sentence if the defendant is found guilty. A judge may also direct a jury to declare a...

KNOW THE AUSTRALIA STUDENT VISA, SUBCLASS 500 FINANCIAL EVIDENCE REQUIREMENT

Image
By Fozail N. Sukhera, 2019;  https://immi.homeaffairs.gov. au/ Financial evidence is required to pay for travel costs, academic tuition for the first twelve months, housing costs, and health care. The route selected determines the cost of a thesis. Furthermore, the yearly cost of a certificate or lower-level curriculum at a college is less than half that of a university degree programme. For students or their parents, the overall cost of living in Australia for a year is around $20,290, with an additional $7,100 for a spouse/partner and $3,040 each baby. A contingent school-aged child's education would cost around $8,000 per year. The most latest estimates may be found at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a.visa/visa-listing/student-500 # HowTo. A Student Guardian Visa, Subclass 590, permits a minor student's guardian to visit and remain in Australia. The guardian, however, is not authorised to serve while in Australia.
